Zscaler, a cloud security firm, has been chosen by Gartner to be the only Leader in the December 2020 Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways.
Zscaler is positioned furthest in the completeness of vision and the highest ability to execute among all 12 vendors evaluated in the report. It’s been the tenth consecutive year that Zscaler has been awarded as a Lead in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways.
“Zscaler redefined networking and security for the cloud age, and we are proud to be recognized by Gartner as the only Leader in the Magic Quadrant,” says Jay Chaudhry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Zscaler. “Legacy technology is an inhibitor to digital transformation,” he added.
“Zscaler’s multi-tenant, proxy-based architecture helps global organizations significantly reduce the attack surface with a true zero trust approach while eliminating encrypted attacks with complete SSL inspection,” Chaudhry explains.
Chaudhry says Gartner’s recognition further adds to Zero Trust Exchange building a secure digital transformation foundation.
“Zscaler’s disruptive cloud-native architecture enables leading enterprises to break free from legacy approaches to networking and security with true any-to-any zero trust connectivity,” he says.
“Unlike disjointed, on-premises security products designed for yesterday’s network, Zscaler’s proxy-based architecture is built on an industry-leading SASE framework to deliver a great user experience, superior security and data protection with full SSL inspection and eliminates the attack surface by directly connecting users to applications, never networks.”
Steve Singer is stamped as Regional Vice President and Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand by Zscaler earlier this month. Handling a similar role as A/NZ country manager at Talend, Singer is now responsible for the continued growth of cloud security solutions in private and public sector enterprises of Zscaler. He also needs to look upon extending hands with local partners in a particular region.
Praising Singer, Senior Vice President for APAC from Zscaler and Japan Scott Robertson expressed that Singer’s expertise has proven to be the right fit for Zscaler.
“Steve’s successful track record as a sales leader in cloud transformation and his focus on customer success makes him the ideal strategic leader to further help customers achieve their digital business goals through our industry-leading, cloud-native approach to security, while at the same time also supporting the acceleration of Zscaler’s growth in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
Singer said, “No other cloud security vendor is as uniquely placed as Zscaler is today. The company is 100% focused on developing innovative and comprehensive solutions for cloud security.”
“2020 has seen the workplace transformed, resulting in new demands for robust security for distributed workforces,” he said.
“As a result, it’s an exciting time to join Zscaler and I look forward to helping our customers move the needle on their digital transformation underpinned with next-generation cloud security, which will result in new opportunities for competitive advantage.”
