LogRhythm Inc., a security intelligence provider, has partnered with Cimcor Inc., a file integrity monitoring service provider, to help businesses increase visibility and defend against contemporary cyberattacks.
The collaboration uses the security information and event management platforms from LogRhythm and the file integrity monitoring tool CimTrak of Cimcor to ingest integrity data that can spot unpatched or zero-day attacks, ransomware activity, and configuration flaws. After the services are integrated, faults can be quickly fixed and eliminated by reverting to established, trusted baselines manually or automatically.
LogRhythm can monitor the integrity of corporate assets through integration, whether they are physical, virtual, hybrid, air-gapped, on-premises, or in the cloud. CimTrak manages files, directories, configurations, users, groups, rules, active directories, database schemas, cloud setups, hypervisors, containers, network devices, and ports across various operating systems and device types.
According to the company, the advantages of the integration include the capacity to spot security breaches and incidents in seconds as opposed to the industry average of 207 days. The integration enables human or automatic rollback of undesirable modifications, including malicious or evaded changes.
Users may deploy and quickly execute using the integration without requiring professional aid in about an hour. Additionally, users are given access to unforeseen changes inside the company.
Andrew Hollister, Chief Information Security Officer at LogRhythm, stated, “Security threats are constantly evolving, and organizations must remain vigilant in protecting their sensitive data and infrastructure. Our partnership with Cimcor allows us to offer a holistic cybersecurity solution that not only detects and monitors threats but also safeguards the integrity and compliance of crucial files and systems.”
“By leveraging this joint offering, organizations can strengthen their security posture and effectively combat ever-evolving cyber threats,” added Hollister.
When it introduced several new integrations and increased features in January that act as a multiplier for security teams, Logrhythm previously made headlines. It was claimed that the improvements would simplify teams to identify, investigate, and report on potential risks. Another benefit was the ability to lessen the strain of managing threats and maintaining infrastructure.
