Coro Cyber Security Ltd., a startup specializing in cloud cybersecurity, recently introduced Coro 3.0, offering midmarket businesses a fresh approach to cybersecurity management and consumption.

Positioned as the world’s first modular cybersecurity platform, Coro 3.0 unifies various security functionalities into a cohesive solution. It features seamlessly integrated modules such as endpoint detection and response, security access service edge, and email security. These modules can be activated on demand, providing scalability to align with a company’s evolving requirements.

The new platform is crafted to tackle the common challenge midmarket companies face, particularly those with 200 to 2,000 employees, who often need more budgets, IT resources, and cybersecurity expertise. Coro contends that this situation makes midmarket companies prime targets for cyberattacks, as their IT staff can quickly become overwhelmed by the intricacies and operational demands of managing multiple tools within their security stack.

Coro 3.0 streamlines the implementation of the cybersecurity stack by employing a single pane of glass, one endpoint agent, and one data engine to configure, operate, and manage every security module. Coro asserts that its security modules autonomously identify and remediate threats, thereby eliminating the security gaps arising from using multiple tools in the security stack.

According to Coro, the cybersecurity platform’s modular nature enables companies to fortify their security posture and diminish operational workloads while maintaining a total cost of ownership that is purportedly less than a third of comparable point solutions.

Upon launch, Coro 3.0 provides access to 14 diverse security modules, including but not limited to endpoint protection, email protection, next-generation firewall, domain name system filtering, extended detection and response, data governance, secure access service edge, cloud access security broker, virtual private networking, security operations center (managed detection and response), email encryption, and zero-trust network access.

Chief Executive Guy Moskowitz said, “Every business deserves access to enterprise-grade security, but the midmarket needs a solution tailored to their limited resources. Coro has raised the bar by consolidating critical security capabilities into a single platform that’s completely modular, easy to manage, and dramatically more affordable than any other solution on the market today.”

Coro, a venture capital-backed startup, has secured substantial funding, with its latest round reaching USD 75 million in April, valuing the company at USD 575 million. Additionally, another round of USD 60 million was completed in April 2022. Prominent investors backing Coro include Balderton Capital LLP, Energy Impact Partners LP, and Jerusalem Venture Partners Ltd.
